Important Dates


  • February 5, 2008 is the Illinois Primary Election, (see below for results).
  • October 7, 2008 is the second presidential debate at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee.  (click here for transcript)
  • October 15, 2008 is the final presidential debate at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York. (click here for transcript)
  • November 4, 2008 is the General Election for President.

  • 270 to Win   This website is about the Electoral College.  There's a very neat interactive map where you can predict which candidate will win what states and then see who wins the electoral college vote.
  • The Living Room Candidate   From the American Museum of the Moving Image, here you can see how television campaign ads have changed from 1952 to present.
  • Project Vote Smart   This private non-profit organization sets out to inform the public about political candidates and where they stand on a variety of issues.  A very good site to help voters make their decision.
  • Select a Candidate   Not sure who you want to vote for?  Take this survey to find out which candidate best fits your views.
