  • Red Studio  From the Museum of Modern Art in New York, this site answers questions about modern art for teens.

MUSEUMS & ART COLLECTIONS

  • Art.Net (Art on the Net)  An online gallery where one can view a variety of artwork.  Other art related links are listed.
  • Louvre  Musuem in Paris the is home to a variety of masterpieces including the Mona Lisa.
  • Musee d'Orsay  Explore the collections from this art musuem in Paris.
  • WebMuseum  Here you can see famous paintings at art museums all around the world without getting out of your chair!
  • World Art Treasures  A collection of online slide shows about art that was collected by Jacques-Edouard Berger.

  • Ask ART  A comprehensive look at over 52,000 American artists.
  • Cezanne   Read a biography about Paul Cezanne and view his paintings.
  • Claude Monet  This site focuses on the life and works of the great Impressionist painter, Claude Monet.
  • Dali Museum   Located in St. Petersburg, Florida, this museum has a biography of Salvador Dali and images of his work.
  • Degas   From the New York Metropolitan Museum, this site explores the life and works of Edgar Degas.
  • Leonardo da Vinci  Explores Leonardo da Vinci as a scientist, inventor, and artist.
  • Michelangelo Buonarroti  Explores the life of Michelangelo.  You can view many of his paintings, sculptures, and architectural designs here as well.
  • Pablo Picasso  Discover the life of Pablo Picasso and see some of his works.

OTHER

  • Humanities Web   A fantastic resource for art, literature, classical music, history, philosophy, and more.
  • Italian Sculptures   Provides an overview of Italian sculpture from the Romanesque era to the present day.
  • Lost Treasures from Iraq  During the Iraq War in 2003, many artifacts were stolen from museums in Baghdad.  This site provides a database of the artifacts that were stolen.
  • Restoration Online  A fascinating site about how paintings hundreds of years old are restored.

  • Architect Studio 3D  From the Frank Lloyd Wright Preservation Trust, here you can design a house completely from floor plan to the landscaping.  Then you can see it in 3D.
  • Emporis Buildings  This site has a large database about buildings all over the world.  A must visit if you are doing a report on a particular building.
  • Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation  This site is dedicated to the great architect and includes biographical information as well as information on his designs.
  • Skyscraper Page  View hundreds of drawings of buildings from around the world.
