Here are websites about computers, the Internet, and technology.  They have been collected from book review journals, print resources, librarian/teacher recommendations, and other resources.

  • Dmitry's Design Lab  Presents a collection of graphic art and design tutorials written by Dmitry Kirsanov, a graphic designer.
  • Focus on Windows  From About.com, here you can get tutorials, tips,reviews, and troubleshooting for Windows, Internet Explorer, and other Microsoft programs.
  • GetNetWise   This excellent site offers advice on how to stay safe while on the Internet.
  • Internet Scout Project    From the University of Wisconsin-Madison's College of Letters and Sciences, this site's purpose is to find the best resources for locating, evaluating, and providing the best online sources.
  • MacFixIt  Mac users can get help troubleshooting with a variety of message boards provided here.
  • SafeTeens.org  Gives good advice on how teens can remain safe while using the Internet.
  • Search Engine Watch  This site provides the latest news and criticism about the many search engines out on the Internet.
  • Virus Information Center  From Computer Associates International, here you can get information on current virus threats and what to do if your computer is attacked. There's also a Virus Encyclopedia and Glossary.
  • Webopedia  This resource is a dictionary of computer and technology terms.
  • Wired Safety  From the web site:   " WiredSafety provides help, information and education to Internet and mobile device users of all ages. We help victims of cyberabuse ranging from online fraud, cyberstalking and child safety, to hacking and malicious code attacks. We also help parents with issues, such as MySpace and cyberbullying."
