DiVito Scores a 2nd Place Finish in Class 2A Three Point Showdown

ICHS would like to congratulate junior, Allie DiVito, who finished 2nd in the State Finals of the Country Financial Three Point Showdown this past Friday at Illinois State University.  The 32 State Final qualifiers, from IHSA Class 2A schools, were placed into four groups of 8, and shot the preliminary round on Thursday, February 25th in Redbird Arena.  With only the top shooter from each group advancing to the 2A finals, Allie hit 9 three pointers to earn one of four spots in the final round on Friday night.  Allie then hit 7 three point shots in the opening round of the finals only to find herself tied with two other players.  In the tie breaking round, Allie hit 5 shots which fell just short of the winning player’s 7 shot round.
