Seniors Maggie Ryan and Will Cronin Named Honorable Mention for the 2009-2010 Daily Herald Leadership Team

Congratulations to seniors Maggie Ryan and Will Cronin for being named Honorable Mention on the 2009-2010 Daily Herald Leadership Team!  The Daily Herald Leadership Team recognizes area students for their outstanding contributions to their communities.  In its 9th year, the Leadership Team recognizes high school students who stand out among their peers, not just for volunteering their time, but also for demonstrating outstanding leadership characteristics.  Members of the Leadership Team were selected from a pool of nearly 100 public and private schools using a blind judging process where the judges did not know the names or schools of the students they were considering.

Maggie Ryan’s service to her community includes being on the Student Youth Board for Cystic Fibrosis, a volunteer at Hinsdale Hospital, assisting with the Notes to Neighbors Campaign for American Cancer Society, an Annie Ryan Fun Run volunteer and an Osteogenesis Imperfecta Golf Outing volunteer.

Will Cronin’s community service includes founding Repeat Your Cleats, volunteering at Our Lady of the Angels Mission food distribution, a member of the Elmhurst Peer Jury, and participating in numerous National Honor Society service projects.

We are very proud to have both Maggie and Will represent ICHS on the Daily Herald Leadership Team.
