Notes from the 1940s:

Jean (Morrison) Murphy, '40 shares the news of having two great-granddaughters!  Both are two and a half years old and they live in Portland, OR and Jupiter, FL.  Jean was part of ICHS's first graduating class!

Mary Rose (Young) Daniel, '42 and Joan (Young) Jansen, '43 and their families traveled to South Haven, Michigan in June 2007 for their brother, Father John Young's, 50th Anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood. The recently retired Fr. Young was the pastor of St. Basil Catholic Church in South Haven for 17 years.

Elizabeth (Dunk) Dziak, '43 and her husband Sylvester celebrated 63 years of Marriage. The couple's 9th grandchild was born in February.

Hugh Donlan, '45 and his wife Seena celebrated their 56th Wedding Anniversary. They were also proud to see their daughter be elected Mayor of Leonia, NJ.

Eddy Hildebrand, '03 was accepted into the prestigous University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science. Eddy is following in the footsteps of his grandmother, Joan (Feil) Clancey, '48, who 56 years ago was the first woman accepted into the school. She received the highest honor given by the University of Miami, the Order of the Arrow. Joan is confident that Eddy will eventually join her with the same honor. Frank O'Neill, '49 and his wife, Elsie, of Phoenix, Arizona celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary in November 2007.  The celebration took place with their family in Maui, Hawaii.  Frank reports, "A great time was had by all!"

Notes from the 1950s:

Ardell (Arnum) Wieczorek, '51 has just written and published book entitled A Grandma's Story.  A copy is on file in the Alumni Office and more information is available on how to obtain your own copy by contacting the Alumni Office.

Richard, '53 and Therese (Dalpiaz) Dvorak, '52, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in June 2007 with a renewal of vows at the Shrine of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Melrose Park.  The couple was married at the same church on June 8, 1957.  Fr. Gino Dalpiaz, C.S. and Fr. Alex Dalpiaz, C.S., '47 performed the ceremony.  The couple celebrated at Drury Lane Oak Brook with their 4 children and 8 grandchildren along with several brothers and sisters: Angeline (Dalpiaz) Ruffolo, '50; Gemma (Dalpiaz) Winters, '53; Rose (Dalpiaz)Scalise, '55; Joseph Dalpiaz, '57; Ann (Dalpiaz) Hicks, '61, Robert Dvorak, '51; Alice (Hodges) Dvorak, '51; John Dvorak, '58; and Elizabeth (Dvorak) Munger, '62.

Judith (Moran) Hughes, '56 has recently welcomed her seventh grandchild, Ian Holliday.

Sister Mary Annel, MM, MD, '57, a longtime Central American missionary, will be celebrating her 50th year as a Maryknoll Sister in 2007.  She is currently running an AIDS program and clinic in El Salvador.

William Friedrich, '57 has retired to the mountains of Western North Carolina.

Rita Trent, '57 had quite a year, as she took a trip to Europe. She also had a wonderful weekend celebrating her 50th reunion. Rita is proud of her first grandchild to graduate from college, and was blessed with the birth of her first great-grandchild.

Notes from the 1960s:

Richard Erlenbaugh, '60 was appointed to the University of Notre Dame Senior Alumni Board of Directors as the representative for North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia.  This position will be effective July 1, 2007.

Bill Ryan, '60 retired from the Navy (Civilian EMP) and ASA CPA.  His wife, Sue (Morris) Ryan, '60, is still working for St. Peter's Parish.  The couple will have been married 42 years in June of 2007.  They have three daughters and two grandsons.

Tom Simone, '60 and his wife Shirley have been married for 44 years. The couple have a wonderful family of 3 daughters and 4 grandchildren. Tom has been most fortunate to have worked for and with some great business organizations. He has been on the Board of United Natural Foods since 1996 and served for 6 years as Chair of the Board. Earlier this year, Tom was named Vice-Chair of the Board.

Kathy (Dolan) Bunte, '62 has recently self-published a book entitled I Need a Facelift, Spiritually Speaking.  It came out in March of 2007.  You can find out more at www.kathleenjdolan.com.

Matthew Jonas, '62 is pleased to announce that he retired in January of 2007.  He and his wife, Bonnie, have relocated to Tennessee.

Terry Dalton, '62 has un-retired in Scottsdale, AZ, 13 years after leaving Polaroid Corporation as the Director of Legislative Affairs. He was recently appointed as the VFW's Senior Department Service Officer for the State of Arizona. In his new capacity, he will oversee a staff that ensures Arizona Veterans, widows, and dependents receive all lawful benefits they are entitled to from the Federal and State Government.

Marge (Kukla) Lakota, '63 and her husband Jerry celebrated their 40th Wedding Anniversary in August, 2007. They celebrated with a party thrown by their 5 children and 4 grandchildren.

Larry Divine, '67 has been an engineer the past 3 and a half years at JPL in Pasadena, CA.  He is excited to be there at this time because of our successful landing of planet rovers on Mars.  He and his wife recently sent their oldest child off to college at the University of California-Riverside.

Renee Moran-Vogel, '68 and her husband Doug are proud of their son Bradley. He is on the Dean's list as a freshman at DePaul University. Renee has taught Special Education and found it very rewarding to help all the students over the years. She can't believe her 40th reunion is this year. Moran-Vogel is looking forward to being on the reunion committee and hopes to see everyone from the class of '68 at the reunion.

Mary (Hollenkamp) Ramey, '69 has been found as "Outstanding in the Field" of Clinical Psychology.  She is currently the Health Coordinator for the Ohio Psychological Association.  Mary has four children, two children-in-law, and two grandchildren.

Notes from the 1970s:

Mary (Blazejack) Ramsden, '72 and her husband, Kevin, welcomed their third granddaughter, Molly Rose on February 20, 2007.  Mary was also featured in a national documentary special entitled "In Times of Crisis" (air date: Fall 2006) which looks at the work of chaplains.  She was interviewed for her work at Ground Zero and as her work as a chaplain with the Illinois State Police.

Warren Meyers, '75 has recently been promoted to Second Vice President at Northern Trust Worldwide Operations and Technology.  Based in Los Angeles, California Warren and his wife have one daughter.  Warren also hosts a weekly radio show and was the 2003 Veteran's Award winner (Hall of Fame) for the Los Angeles Senior Men's Baseball League.

Dr. Kathleen Boris-Lawrie, '77 has been selected as the recipient of the 2007 Distinguished Alumni Award for ICHS.  Dr. Boris-Lawrie is a Professor of Molecular Virology and Veterinary Biosciences at The Ohio State University in Columbus.  She received her Bachelor and Master degrees in microbiology from Southern Illinois University and received her PHD in molecular genetics from George Washington University Medical School.  Dr. Boris-Lawrie's research has lead the way to many accolades and awards for the professor.

Patty Martin, '77 was recently nominated for the Hall of Fame for Radio Music Directors by the radio trade paper, Friday Morning Quarterback. Patty is currently the Program Director at "The Drive," 97.1 FM in Chicago. Martin lives with her husband in Lincoln Park.

A group of friends from the class of '78 are now sharing the experience of being ICHS parents. Bob Cronin, Bill Haggerty, Jim Hartnett, Paul Hornstra, and the late Peter Dunne all have children in the high school. These dads were best friends in high school and still are today. Notes from the 1980s:

Ray Wisbrock, '80 and his wife Jeanne have been married for 23 years and have lived in Palatine their entire married life. They have three children, Stefanie, 19, Adam, 17 and Kyle, 13. Ray has worked for various companies in corporate communications and now runs his own communications consultation company.

John Nicholas, '81 is now the Director of Public Markets for Vulcan Inc. in Seattle, Washington.

Ginger (Barney) and Dave Leali, both '82, are happy to say that they are living in Elmhurst with three children: Lauren, Gina, and Mark.  The children are in 8th, 5th, and 2nd grades respectively.

Lisa (Bourke) Guaghan, '83 and her husband, Patrick, just welcomed the birth of their fourth boy, Evan Timothy.  He joins brothers Liam, Quinn, and Aidan.

John Barrett, '83 is proud to announce that in December, 2007 he finished his M.S. degree in school administration from the University of Illinois-Springfield. Then, in February, his 7th grade boys' basketball team from Pleasant Plains Middle School won the IESA (Illinois Elementary School Association) 7-3A state championship. John resides in Sherman, IL with his wife Nancy and four children. He has been married for over 18 years and has worked as a junior high teacher in Pleasant Plains for the last 12 years.

Mary (Donohue) Rachford, '84 opened Physical Therapy Advantage in North Aurora with her husband Gary. They have three kids, Sean (9), Colin (7), and Kathryn (4).

Katie (O'Brien) Owens, '85 lives in Aurora with her husband of 13 years, Jeff. They have 2 kids and a dog.  Katie is an Information Technology Architect and works for Ace Hardware Corporation in Oak Brook. Her hobby is running marathons. Most recently, she ran the Boston Marathon in 3:34:00

Fred Moss, '88 has been accepted into the American Impressionist Society's 8th Annual National Juried Exhibition for his oil painting "springtime flowers".  The show runs from May 3, 2007 - May 25, 2007 in Chicago at Hilligoss Galleries. In 2008, Fred will be exhibiting his work at the North Charleston City Gallery.

Notes from the 1990s:

Julianne Arient, '90 was married to Todd Murphy in March of 2007.  Julianne is currently a professor at Triton College and her husband is employed as an iron worker at Local 1. 

Katie (Ward) McDonough '90 and her husband Matt McDonough, '87 just welcomed their second child, Joseph William on April 3, 2007.  They also have a daughter, Kelsey, who is 15 months old.

Karen (Wenig) Williams, '90 and husband Charley, welcomed a son, Peter Charles, on March 16, 2007.  He joins brother, Garrett Alexander, who was born Sept. 21, 2004.

Andrew Pinter, '91the Chicago White Sox's assistant director of scouting, will become an amateur area scout serving North Carolina and Virginia, effective Sept. 1, 2008.

Laura Patitucci, '91 was married to Steve Loncar on November 10, 2007.

Jennifer Warren, '91 is celebrating her 6th year as a State Farm Insurance Agent with her own insurance agency in Northbrook, IL.

Andrea Milles, '92 married Dave Roberts in 2002.  The couple welcomed daughter Natalie Arwyn on January 23 2004 and son David Kingston on October 11, 2006.  They family currently resides in Goodyear, Arizona where Andrea and Dave work as nurses.

Laura (Barney) Robinson, '92 and her family have welcomed a new addition of baby Melissa Jinja.

Timothy Gilles, '93 has joined the Burns & McDonnell Consulting Firm as a Senior Environmental Scientist in the Environmental & Remediation Services Department.  He will be part of the Chicago Office.

Kevin Walz, '93 is a Winona State University graduate and head coach of the Oberlin men's lacrosse team in Ohio.  He and his team were recently awarded the 2007 Jim "Ace" Adam award for Sportsmanship by the District 6 Men's Division Officials Council.

Jeanne (Falduto) Mulay, '93 and her husband Mike are expecting their 2nd child in July. The couple's 1st child, Audrey, was born on December 13, 2006.

Carrie Calkins, '94 was married to Ross Felten of Glen Ellyn in October 2007.  ICHS alumna, Erin (Grove) Blain, '94 was included in the wedding party.

Recently, some members of the Class of '94 got together to catch-up with each other. Christine (Imielski) Alaimo, Carl Alaimo, Toni (Tortorello) Allaway, Johnny Arreola, Juanita (Vivas) Lugowski, Jason Oliver, Erin Riley, Kara Rothermel, Ann (Carbon) Smith, Greg Sukolowsky, and Jorge Zapata spent the day at Beren's Park getting to know each other's families. The fun continued in the evening as the group gathered at Fitz's Pub to further catch-up with each other.

Angela (Calcagno) Sebastian, '96 is proud to announce the birth of her son Anthony Pasquale Sebastian. He was born on August 13, 2008. Anthony weighs 8 pounds 15 ounces and measures 20.5 inches. His big brother Jack is happy to have a younger brother.

T.J. Tyrrell, '97 was married to Natalie Cuomo, '97 in July 2007.  Members of the bridal party included Natalie's sister Michelle (Cuomo) Follman, '94, cousin, Sara Torina, '04 and friend Sunday Calamia, '97.

Bob Plotz, '97 was married to his wife Cyndy in July 2007.  The couple is proud to announce the birth of their first child, Isaac, on June 5, 2008.

Katie (Callaghan) Barrett, '98 and her husband John are proud to announce the birth of their daughter Madeline. She is the couples' second kid, joining their 2 year old son Jack.

Julia Floraday, '98 is living in Washington, D.C. She transitioned out of the Navy 2 years ago, and currently works for Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions as an Area Director for their pre-college business.

Katie (Konrath) Marsico, '98 is living in Elmhurst with her husband Carl and their two kids, Maria (nearly 4) and C.J. (nearly 2). Katie is expecting her third child in March of 2009. She currently works from home as a children's author and editor.

Terril (Zwolinski) Zonno, '99 was married to Gaetano Zonno in June 2006.  On September 6, 2007 they welcomed a new baby girl, Eleonora into their family.  Terril is working as an account manager at JP Morgan Chase.

Julie (Giannola) Richards, '99 was married to Stephen Richards on September 29, 2007.  Bridal party included Julie's friends, Gina Marzullo, '99 and Toni Eleuteri, '99.  Groomsmen included Julie's brother, Anthony Giannola, '97.

James Caron, '99 recently transitioned out of the Air Force as a meteorology officer and is currently working for a major banking firm as a consulting meteorologist. He has been married to his wonderful wife, Anngela, for just over two years. Groomsmen at the wedding included Tim Alund '99, Matt Kowski '99, and Mike Willis '98.

Christina Contraveos, '99 works as a Special Education Assistant at Lincoln Elementary in Elmhurst. She is also a 1st grade CCD teacher at Sacred Heart Church in Melrose Park. In September 2008, Christina will be marrying Fred Garcia. The bridal party will include IC alumnae Nicole Contraveos, '05, and Lisa Sommario, '98. John Arreola, '94 will be a groomsman in the wedding. 

Notes from the 2000s:

Bridget Biggio, '00 was married to Matt Machalinski on March 15, 2008. The Wedding Ceremony was held at IC. The bridal party included Bridget's friends, Claire Dunne, '99, Margaret Kinsella, '99 and Kelly Muisenga, '00. The groomsmen included Matt Biggio, a current senior at ICHS. <click here for photo>

Dina Reicher, '00 was married to Thomas Nee on March 3, 2007.  Bridesmaids included Dina's sister, Lisa (Reicher) Weilandt, '97 and Gina Annoreno, '00.

Melissa Milam, '00 was married to Adam Hasten on July 19, 2008. Stephanie Tymoszenko, '00 was a bridesmaid in the wedding.

Rebecca (Roberstad) Hernandez, '00 graduated from Dominican University with a B.A. in 2004. She married her college sweetheart in 2008. She currently works as a dance instructor and choreographer and is a full-time dance student at Columbia College.

Senan Nolan, '01 is happy to announce his engagement to Erin Clancy, '01. The couple is planning for a summer of 2009 wedding.

Tim Chandler, '01 was married to Gina Santucci on August 2, 2008. The bridal party included Michelle Chandler, '02 and Cathleen Chandler, '05. The groomsmen included Jason Dembosz, '01, Michael Mulligan, '01, and Senan Nolan, '01. The best-man was Bill Chandler, '99.

Ashley Floraday, '01 is living in Missoula, Montana.  During the summer and fall she works on a hot shot crew as a wildland fire fighter.

Danielle Norini, '01 has been teaching Special Education classes for severely handicapped children with the LaGrange Area Department of Special Education.  She also coaches cheerleading in Brookfield and, basketball and volleyball in Hinsdale.

Monica VanEyck, '02 graduated with high honors from Notre Dame in the spring of 2006.  She will receive her Master's Degree in Romance Languages and Literatures in May 2007. Monica and her fiancé are planning a June 27, 2008 wedding.

Sheila DeVries, '03 graduated from Elmhurst College on May 27, 2007 with a degree in Business Administration.

Arlene Rosado, '03 graduated from Elmhurst College on May 27, 2007 with a degree in Nursing.

A stellar wide receiver at Bemidji State University, Anthony Schreiber, '03 was named All-NSIC for the second year in a row.  Anthony led the Beavers in scoring, touchdowns, receptions and receiving yards.  In the Metrodome last November, Schreiber ran a reverse 86 yards for a touchdown on the first play of a game.  He proceeded to score two more on pass receptions and was named NSIC Offensive Player of the Week after that performance. Anthony recently participated in the rookie camp for the Minnesota Vikings.

Gerard Bernaldo, '03 graduated from from the University of Illinois-Chicago in December 2007 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Gerard is a Project Engineer for Chicago Blower Corporation in Glendale Heights.

Erin DiGangi, '04 had an article published on the NCAA website after attending a leadership conference sponsored by the NCAA.  She is a co-captain of the Clarke College Crusader softball team, as well as, President of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.  DiGangi was named a National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-America Scholar-Athlete.  She also received recognition by being named to the Northern Illinois-Iowa Conference All-Academic Team and President’s Honor Roll.

Lillian Perez, '04 was selected by audition in January 2008 to sing Soprano II for the Elmhurst College Concert Choir.  Lillian is a senior music major and a member of Lambda Sigma Psi Music Recognition Society.

Amy Consolazio, '04 is studying Elementary Education as a senior at Elmhurst College. She was named 2007's Organization President of the Year by the Student Government for her work as Editor in Chief of the Elms yearbook. Amy is also proud to be the Philanthropy Chair for Sigma Kappa Sorority. She has organized numerous service opportunities for her sisters, including, making dinner at the Ronald McDonald House, hosting a food drive in Elmhurst, and planning a "Match Game" on campus to raise money for bone marrow and cord blood research. Consolazio spent three years on the EC cheerleading squad, Union Board, and ASCD. She is currently student teaching in a first grade classroom in Bensenville.

Teresamarie Cervone, '04 graduated magna cum laude from Dominican University on May 2, 2008 with a major in math and a minor in accounting. She is currently working as Staff Accountant for a production company in Rosemont.

John Guy Cervone, '05 received an associate's degree from Triton College. He will be attending Dominican University in the fall. John Guy is currently the Retail Manager at Mario Tricoci in Oak Brook.

Chris Fisette, '05 recently completed a highly successful track season at St. Mary’s University of Minnesota.  Just a sophomore, Fisette broke the school triple jump record this spring and was a member of the 4x200 relay team that shattered the school record at the Drake Relays in April.  The marketing and mathematics double-major was also named to the Dean’s List for the spring semester.

Taylor Arman, '05 was recently recognized at North Central College's Honors Convocation. She received the Outstanding Major in Health and Physical Education award.

Alex Arman, '06 completed a successful cross country season at Benedictine University.  The engineering major was named Men’s Rookie of the Year.

PJ Conroy, '06 will get a championship ring as a linebacker and special teams player on the MFSA Midwest conference champion St. Ambrose University Fighting Bees.  Undefeated during the regular season, the Bees lost a 2OT game in the NAIA Championship Series.

Kelly Costello, '06 played outside hitter for the Milwaukee School of Engineering women’s volleyball team this fall.  Her team finished with the best record in the school’s history.  A Dean’s List student, Costello was also honored to receive an engineering internship with Walt Disney World.  Originally recruited to play basketball for MSOE, Costello will spend six months taking classes and working for Disney in Orlando.

Taylor Flaherty, '06 completed a successful first season of varsity cross country at Saint Mary's College last year. She cut her fastest 5k time to 23:30 while running against Manchester College. She began her second season with the Belles this August.

Maria Marotta, '06 was recognized as the recipient of the Kolb Talent Award to a First-Year Art Student at Elmhurst College.  The award is made on the basis of artistic talent demonstrated in the studio course work.

Sophomore wide receiver, Bryan Mulligan, '06 was the leading receiver this past football season for the DePauw University Tigers.  He was also named to the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference All-Conference Team. Brad Paus, '06 the quarterback who threw to Mulligan during their high school days at IC, is also a member of the DePauw football team.

Kim Howard, '07 and Nikki Sue Williams, '07 recently finished their second sport's season. They are both members of the Monmouth College soccer team, as well as the basketball team. <click here for photos>

Christine Randick, '07 is a member of the Elmhurst College women's basketball team. As a freshman, Christine played in 25 games and averaged 4.5 points per game for the Lady Bluejays.

Patricia "Nancy" (Conroy) Granahan, '46 passed away on March 1, 2008.

Diana (Lizzadro) Nicholas, '52 passed away on July 2, 2008.

Mel (Moose) Fullmer, '57 passed away November 24, 2007.  He is survived by his brother, Hugh, his wife, Cheryl, two daughters, and three grandchildren.

Arthur DeStephano, '57 passed away in April 2007.

Joanne (Wroblewski) Dziwak, '57 passed away in August, 2007.

Albert Froelich, '58 passed away on July 22, 2008.

George Donzelli, '59 passed away in April, 2008.

Carol Ann (Wrona) Newton, '61 passed away on February 24, 2008.

Geraldine (Segon) Rotondi, '65, passed away in June, 2007.

Robert Yeisley Jr. '65 passed away in May, 2008.

Merlanne (Price) Wood, '66, passed away April 13, 2007 after a battle with cancer.  She was a graduate of both IC Grade School and High School.

Mary Beth (O'Reilly) Etter, '69, passed away on June 11, 2007.  Mary Beth is survived by her husband Bill of Spokane; her daughter Anne of Bellevue, WA; her son Billy and his fiancée Sarah Perry of Tucson, AZ; her son Matt of Seattle, WA; her mother Elizabeth A. O'Reilly of Clarendon Hills, IL; her brothers Joseph (Mary Beth) O'Reilly of Louisville, KY, and Michael (Katy) O'Reilly of Western Springs, IL; and sister Patty (Ken) Miner of Charlotte, NC; as well as a large extended family and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Joseph G. O'Reilly.

Chris True, '70 passed away on May 18, 2007.  He was married to his high school sweetheart, Sue (Dunne) True, '70.

Margaret (Stack) Lombardi, '70 passed away in December 2007.

Tom Tarsitano, '77 passed away on November 25, 2007. 

Michael Kobler, '77 passed away suddenly on June 10, 2008.

Dorothy (Reedy) Schaub, '78, passed away on January 4, 2007.
