Notes from the 1940s:
Jean (Morrison) Murphy, '40 shares the news of having two great-granddaughters! Both are two and a half years old and they live in Portland, OR and Jupiter, FL. Jean was part of ICHS's first graduating class!
Elizabeth (Dunk) Dziak, '43 and her husband Sylvester celebrated 63 years of Marriage. The couple's 9th grandchild was born in February.
Carol (Raab) Markley, '45 is enjoying spending time with her family, including her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loves to travel and volunteer at a local hospital.
Hugh Donlan, '45 and his wife Seena celebrated their 56th Wedding Anniversary. They were also proud to see their daughter be elected Mayor of Leonia, NJ.
Robert and Mary (Dunk) Guth, '48 celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on September 11, 2009.
Lois (AuBuchon) Sinner, '48 says she is glad to hear about all of the exciting things going on at ICHS. She is proud of the school and proud to call herself an alumna.
Mary (Weldon) Binder, '49 reports that she had a great time at the Class of 1949's 60th reunion.
Jean (Kelly) Gust, ’49 is the proud grandmother to 14 grandchildren and great-grandmother to 5 great-grandchildren.
Mary (Fellegi) Udelhofen, ’49 is living in a retirement community in Elmhurst. She has five married children and 10 grandchildren, all of whom she loves spending time with.
Notes from the 1950s:
Evelyn (Burke), '52 and Don Essling, '52 celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on October 10, 2008. Evelyn and Don were married October 10, 1953 at I.C. by Reverend Fabian Revel. They renewed their marriage vows on their 50th Anniversary, when Don's brother, Father Harold Essling C.S.C. '50, who was Don's best man in 1953, flew in from Texas, and con-celebrated the Mass with Father Mario Pedi O.S.B. at Annunciation B.V.M. Church in Aurora, IL. The couple have 8 children, 14 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandsons.
Thomas Adams, ’53 is happy to announce the birth of his 2nd great-grandchild. That brings his total number of grandchildren to 33!
Phyllis (Littlefield) Baber, ’53 is enjoying traveling around the world. She went to Egypt in 2009 and visited the Great Wall of China in 2010.
June (Moxon) Maze, '55 continues to enjoy her work as Vice-Principal at Holy Wisdom Academy in Milwaukee, WI. She is happy that the staff there is so diverse. There are four Religious orders represented, including the Sisters of St. Agnes.
John Vandermolen, '55 is enjoying retirement and spending time with his 14 grandchildren.
Kurt Ulrich, 56 is happy to report there are 2 Lieutenant Colonels in the family. His son, Lt. Col. Andrew Ulrich is a US Army Battalion Commander, while Kurt is a retired Lt. Col. in the US Air Force. His daughter Carol is a US Attorney in Salt Lake City Federal Court. She is expecting her 2nd child in May of 2010.
Mary Jean (Lewey) Basta, '57 and her husband Joseph are enjoying their retirement in Prescott, Arizona and in Florida. They have 3 children and 8 grandchildren living in Illinois, Texas, and Colorado.
William Friedrich, '57 has retired to the mountains of Western North Carolina.
John Hattenhauer, '57 and his wife Sally welcomed their 11th grandchild on Christmas Day of 2008.
Jack Murphy, '57 is happy to share the news about the birth of his great grandson on September 3, 2009. Jack was also reminiscing about his time at ICHS. Specifically, how there were no locks on the lockers, no talking was allowed between classes, staircases were one-way to control crowding, and Friday pep-rallies on the front steps of the high school.
Notes from the 1960s:
Bill Ryan, '60 retired from the Navy (Civilian EMP) and ASA CPA. His wife, Sue (Morris) Ryan, '60, is still working for St. Peter's Parish. The couple have been married for 44 years. They have three daughters and two grandsons.
Tom Simone, '60 and his wife Shirley have been married for 44 years. The couple have a wonderful family of 3 daughters and 4 grandchildren. Tom has been
most fortunate to have worked for and with some great business organizations. He
has been on the Board of United Natural Foods since 1996 and served for 6 years as Chair of the Board. Earlier this year, Tom was named Vice-Chair of the Board.
Lynne Collins, '60 says she is truly blessed to have attended such a wonderful school. Lynne feels that everything she learned at ICHS has carried her through a successful life, and she is thankful for everything ICHS gave her.
Terry Dalton, '62 has un-retired in Scottsdale, AZ, 13 years after leaving Polaroid Corporation as the Director of Legislative Affairs. He was recently appointed as the VFW's Senior Department Service Officer for the State of Arizona. In his new capacity, he will oversee a staff that ensures Arizona Veterans, widows, and dependents receive all lawful benefits they are entitled to from the Federal and State Government.

Terese (LeGare) Goodson, '66 retired from her position as an elementary school principal after serving 37 1/2 years in public education. She is now a full-time beef cattle rancher. Terese is maintaining a 137 acre farm, and she says there is never a dull moment around the farm.
Ron Drozd, ’67 retired in April of 2009 after 22 years of teaching and coaching. He also spent 29 years in the Army Reserve. Ron and his wife Penny enjoy traveling the country in their RV.
Randy Johnson, ’67 recently retired from Motorola after working there for 39 years
Nancy Lottinville, '68 is proud of her children who are currently in graduate school. Ann is in her 3rd year of a Ph. D program in English at the University of Illinois, while Ted is a 2nd year law student at the University of Loyola, Chicago.
Bernadette (Centobene) Bass, ’69 is in her 12th year of teaching P.E. at St. Celestine School in Elmwood Park. Bernadette has 3 grandchildren who keep her busy. She reports that she had a GREAT time at her 40th reunion this past summer.
Mary (Hollenkamp) Ramey, '69 has been found as "Outstanding in the Field" of Clinical Psychology. She is currently the Health Coordinator for the Ohio Psychological Association. Mary has four children, two children-in-law, and two grandchildren.
Janet (Maziarek) Martin, '69 is proud to announce the birth of her first grandchild. Leah Elizabeth McKenzie was born on March 18, 2009.

Barbara (Palaith) Newson, ’71 is excitedly awaiting the birth of her second grandchild to her daughter Brenda and Staff Sgt. Jason Strawn. Her other grandson, Christopher, is 6 years old. Barbara is a photographer in Hawaii, and she enjoys the 80 degree weather everyday. Click here to see one of her photos of Makai Pier, which has been published.
Joyce Hoffman, ’73 has a four-year-old granddaughter Alyssa, and her second grandchild is due in August.
Warren Meyers, '75 has recently been promoted to Second Vice President at Northern Trust Worldwide Operations and Technology. Based in Los Angeles, California Warren and his wife have one daughter. Warren also hosts a weekly radio show and was the 2003 Veteran's Award winner (Hall of Fame) for the Los Angeles Senior Men's Baseball League.
John Messerschmidt, '75 was installed as a 2 Star Rear Admiral in the Navy on October 1st, 2009. His mother Anna Messerschmidt was thrilled to be able to attend the ceremony. She shared the honor of pinning on John's second star with his wife Lizann. The ceremony took place at the Headquarters of Navy Reserve Forces in Norfolk, Virginia, where John is serving as the Commander of the Navy Reserves Forces Command. John's sisters Jane (Messerschmidt) Venafro, '68 and Julie (Messerschmidt) Schweppe, '79 were also in attendance. Click here to see a picture of Anna and John.
Patty Martin, '77 is still enjoying her job as Program Director of 97.1 FM, the Drive. She says they play all the music that everyone listened to when she attended IC.
Joanne Marcotte, '78 opened Bow Wow Playground Doggie Daycare and Boarding in Villa Park. She thanks all the IC alumni that have visited and hopes that many more will stop by.
Peter Simoncelli, '78 was recently featured on the cover of a magazine titled meeting Excellence. He also wrote an article for the magazine. Peter is the General Manager for the Westin Chicago River North Hotel. Click here to read Peter's article.

Ray Wisbrock, '80 and his wife Jeanne have been married for 23 years and have lived in Palatine their entire married life. They have three children, Stefanie, 19, Adam, 17 and Kyle, 13. Ray has worked for various companies in corporate communications and now runs his own communications consultation company.
John Nicholas, '81 is now the Director of Public Markets for Vulcan Inc. in Seattle, Washington.
Mark Falimirski, 82 became Medical Director of Critical Care at Indiana University Hospital. He and his wife are expecting their 4th child.
Lisa (Bourke) Guaghan, '83 and her husband, Patrick, just welcomed the birth of their fourth boy, Evan Timothy. He joins brothers Liam, Quinn, and Aidan.
Eric Larson, ’83 opened the Marion Street Cheese Market in 2004. It has expanded to a bistro and is a trendy wine and cheese store located in Oak Park, IL. Stop by and mention you are an IC grad, and Eric will give you 15% off your order.
Pete Alfini, ’84 is a proud graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He wants all Illinois high school students to know there are scholarships available to UW-Madison through the UW Chicago Alumni Association. For more information, visit www.uwalumni.com/chicago.
Mary (Donohue) Rachford, '84 opened Physical Therapy Advantage in North Aurora with her husband Gary. They have three kids, Sean (9), Colin (7), and Kathryn (4).
Margaret (O'Brien) Schy, '84 and her husband David have two daughters, Meghan and Kelly. Margaret has earned her Master's degree in Business and has earned two real estate licenses in Illinois.
Jill (Butler) Whitney, '84 earned a Master's Degree in Nutrition from Loyola University Chicago and is currently working as the Chief Clinical Dietition at MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn, IL.
Katie (O'Brien) Owens, '85 lives in Aurora with her husband of 13 years, Jeff. They have 2 kids and a dog. Katie is an Information Technology Architect and works for Ace Hardware Corporation in Oak Brook. Her hobby is running marathons. Most recently, she ran the Boston Marathon in 3:34:00
Michelle Martin, ’86 is the assistant editor of the Catholic New World, the newspaper for the Archdiocese of Chicago.
Sean Hoffman, '88 and his wife Katie reside in Elmhurst with their children Jimmy (6) and Lauren (4). Katie is an attorney for All State Insurance. Sean is the Vice-President of Sales and Business Development for Nuance Solutions. He enjoys spending time with his family, coaching, golfing, playing pickup basketball, and reading.
Notes from the 1990s:
Kevin James, '90 is a Msgt in the Illinois Air National Guard. He recently returned from a tour of duty in Afghanistan where he worked with Predator Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. Kevin and his wife Kerry reside in Elmhurst with their 4 children.
Sally McCole, '90 is engaged to Mike Bucciarelli and the couple is planning a wedding for the summer of 2010.
Karen (Wenig) Williams, ’90 and her husband Charles welcomed Sarah Catherine on October 22, 2009. She joins brothers Garrett (5 years) and Peter (2 years).
Joe Bigane, '91 and his wife Bridget have 5 children and reside in Elmhurst. He is the Owner and Managing Director of a company in Chicago.
Andrew Pinter, '91 recently moved to Raleigh, North Carolina to become Area Scouting Supervisor for the Chicago White Sox. His focus will be covering the area for the annual Amateur Draft, as well as doing some minor league scouting.
Thomas Gibbons, Jr. (Tucker), ’92 and Marya (Caso) Gibbons, ’93 have been married for 13 years. They have 6 children ranging in age from 12 to newborn. Three of their children currently attend ICGS full time. Tucker and Marya run Gibbons Funeral Home in Elmhurst.
Timothy Gilles, '93 has joined the Burns & McDonnell Consulting Firm as a Senior Environmental Scientist in the Environmental & Remediation Services Department. He will be part of the Chicago Office.
Pat and Mary Beth (Bauernfeind) Lucas, ’93 are pleased to announce the birth of their daughter Megan Elaine Lucas. She was born on January 27, 2010.
Dave Zanghi, '93 and his wife reside in Naperville with their 2 daughters, ages 4 and 1. Dave is the manager of Cardiodiagnostics and outreach services for Edward Hospital. He is also an adjunct faculty member in the graduate Clinical Exercise Physiology Program at Benedictine University.
Kerry (Howlett) Neville, ’94 was married to Bill Neville in April 2010
Sean '93 and Emily (Goldstein) '94 Nolan are excited about the birth of their son Jasper in June. Brother Liam 4, and sister Maisie, 3 are very excited. In July, Sean finished his residency in emergency medicine and has taken a position in the Milwaukee area. Emily is a practicing psychotherapist at a local private agency, and teaches art therapy at a local college.
Ann (Carbon) Smith, '94 and her husband Harry welcomed their second child, Chase, on November 12, 2009. Big sister Chloe, age 3, is excited to have a baby brother.
Michael Muisenga, ’94 and his wife Shelly are the proud parents of a baby boy. Matthew Michael Muisenga was born on January 6, 2010. He weighed 7 lbs 11 oz and measured 19 inches long.
Recently, some members of the Class of '94 got together to catch-up with each other. Christine (Imielski) Alaimo, Carl Alaimo, Toni (Tortorello) Allaway, Johnny Arreola, Juanita (Vivas) Lugowski, Jason Oliver, Erin Riley, Kara Rothermel, Ann (Carbon) Smith, Greg Sukolowsky, and Jorge Zapata spent the day at Beren's Park getting to know each other's families. The fun continued in the evening as the group gathered at Fitz's Pub to further catch-up with each other.
Nicola Caso, '96 is performing regularly with local Chicago bands. She had a solo acoustic show at Uncommon Ground in Chicago on May 28, 2009.
Robert Hadac, ’96 has been working in the printing business for 10 years. He recently purchased his first home in Willowbrook, IL.
Michelle (Muisenga) Carlson, ’96 was married to Billy Carlson. The newlyweds reside in Elmhurst.
Junior Pinal, ’96 has been working for Sherwin Williams for 10 years. He has been married to his wife Araceli for 4 years, and the couple is expecting their first child in October of 2010.
T.J. Tyrrell, '97 and his wife Natalie (Cuomo), '97 are pleased to announce the birth of their son Tommy on April 27, 2009.
Lisa (Reicher) Weilandt, '97 and her husband Kevin are expecting their first child in April 2010. Proud aunt-to-be is Dina (Reicher) Nee, '00.
Julia Floraday, '98 is living in Washington, D.C. She transitioned out of the Navy 2 years ago, and currently works for Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions as an Area Director for their pre-college business.
Katie (Konrath) Marsico, '98 is living in Elmhurst with her husband Carl and their two kids, Maria (nearly 4) and C.J. (nearly 2). Katie gave birth to her third child in March of 2009. She currently works from home as a children's author and editor.
Christyann Dassie, '98 is happy to announce she is engaged to Matthew Walker. The couple wed on Sep. 5, 2009. The wedding party included her brother Tommy Dassie, '96 and Edith (Perez) Nava, '98. Christyann currently resides in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is the Human Resource Manager for the New Mexico State Personnel Office, and is pursuing a Master's degree in Education.
Maureen (Bigane) Franchi, '99 was married to Martin Franchi on March 17, 2007. Jackie (Shilakis) Hasse, '99 was a bridesmaid. Maureen's daughter Emily June was born on February 25, 2008 and her son Colin Walker was born on March 25, 2009. She is currently a Financial Controller of a company in Chicago, working with her brothers Joe, '91 and Andy, '95.
Claire Dunne, ’99 received her Masters of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College. She works as the Director of Intergovernmental Affairs at the National Nuclear Security Administration.
Mike Kelly, ’99 and his wife Kendra are expecting their first child.
Margaret (Kinsella) Napelton, '99 was married to Mike Napelton on October 10, 2009. The maid-of-honor was Anne (Kinsella) Hilby, '95. Bridesmaids in the wedding included Kate (Kinsella) Luburic, '96, Claire Dunne, '99, Erin Long, '99, and Bridget (Biggio) Machalinski, '00, while Tim Kinsella, '96 and Jimmy Kinsella, '00 were groomsmen. Bridget Biggio, '00 was married to Matt Machalinski on March 15, 2008. The Wedding Ceremony was held at IC. The bridal party included Bridget's friends, Claire Dunne, '99, Margaret Kinsella, '99 and Kelly Muisenga, '00. The groomsmen included Matt Biggio, '09. <click here for photo>
Patty (Dixon) Allen, 00 and her husband Paul have a 7 year old and 22 month old daughter. The couple is expecting a boy in August. They currently reside in Michigan.
Dina Reicher, '00 was married to Thomas Nee on March 3, 2007. Bridesmaids included Dina's sister, Lisa (Reicher) Weilandt, '97 and Gina Annoreno, '00.
Melissa Milam, '00 was married to Adam Hasten on July 19, 2008. Stephanie Tymoszenko, '00 was a bridesmaid in the wedding.
Rebecca (Roberstad) Hernandez, '00 graduated from Dominican University with a B.A. in 2004. She married her college sweetheart in 2008. She currently works as a dance instructor and choreographer and is a full-time dance student at Columbia College.
Melissa Gosche, '00 was honored as 2009 Educator of the Year by the Illinois Computing Educators. She accepted the award at the annual conference held in February. Melissa currently teaches 3rd grade at Kennedy Elementary School in Schiller Park, IL.
Erica (Handy) Lesus, '00 earned a degree in Hotel/Motel Management. She has been the General Manager of a hotel in the northwest suburbs for over 3 years. Erica married Jason Lesus on May 27, 2007. The couple resides in Lake in the Hills with their dog Buddy.
Andy Kowieski, ’00 moved to Miami in March where he took a management position with American Southwest Insurance. Besides entertaining a number of IC alums who’ve visited, Andy also found time to compete in the South Beach Triathlon benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. His triathlon team was the top fund raiser in the event.
Tony Medina, ’00 was married to Lisa Pellegrinetti in on March 26, 2010.
Joe Callaghan, '01 is currently attending the University of Notre Dame Law School
Tim Chandler, ’01 and his wife Gina are proud to announce the birth of their daughter Leah Kathryn Chandler. She was born on March 18, 2010.
Billy Dunne, ’01 is engaged to Katie Ferrell. The couple will be married on December 4, 2010
Ashley Floraday, '01 is living in Missoula, Montana. During the summer and fall she works on a hot shot crew as a wildland fire fighter.
Katie Krajewski, '01 was married to Jason Sullivan on July 4, 2009. Her sister Kerry Krajewski, '99 was the maid of honor. Rosie Krajewski, '03 and Kelly Dawson, '02 were bridesmaids in the wedding. The couple is residing in Carol Stream.
Michael Mulligan, ’01 is engaged to Sheila Keane. The couple is planning their wedding for August 2011.
Senan '01 and Erin (Clancy '01) Nolan were married on August 8, 2009. Groomsmen in the wedding included Danny Clancy, '04, Tim Chandler, '01, and Sean Nolan, '93. The maid-of-honor was Rachael Saffa, '01, while Judy Cavazos, '01 and Jaclynn Sullivan were bridesmaids.
Ryan Sullivan, ’01 is starting his 3rd year of medical school at Loyola University. Patrick Sullivan, ’04 graduated from Valparaiso University in May, 2008. He recently started working at Patten Industries as their Latin American Representative. Annie Sullivan, ’06 is a student at College of DuPage. She recently went to visit Amanda O’Brien, ’06 in London, where she is studying fashion design.
Jackie Koch, '02 graduated with a 4.0/4.0 from the Jane Adams School of Social Work at the University of Illinois, earning a Masters in Social Work in May, 2009. She is a social worker at a K-12 alternative school for children with behavioral disorders in Western DuPage County. Jackie's sister Jen, '05 graduated with honors from Eastern Illinois University with a K-12 Special Education certificate, also in May, 2009. She landed a job as a 2nd and 3rd grade special-ed teacher in Melrose Park.
Brittany Lee, '02 is a Title 1 teacher at 2 Catholic grade schools in Chicago.
Emily Stanko, '02 married Frank Tomaselli on October 16th 2009 at St. Domatilla Church in Hillside. Jillian (Stanko) Kratky, '98 served as matron of honor, while Doug Schmidt, '02 was the best-man. Jackie Koch, '02 was a bridesmaid. Alex Klasen, '02 was also there to celebrate.
Doug Schmidt, '02 and his wife Megan are pleased to announce the birth of their son Colton, born on Thursday, May 7th, 2009.
Pat Gibbons, '03 is the proud owner of Gibbons Elliston Funeral Home in Hinsdale, IL. He has been the owner and operator since 2007.
Beth (Colandrea) Holowka, ’03 and her husband Ken welcomed their first child, Nathaniel Connor, on December 12, 2009.
Kaitlin (Thomas) McLearen, '03 was married to Robert McLearen on June 20, 2009. The maid-of-honor was Jamie Thomas, '00. Bridesmaids in the wedding were Anna Lupo, '03 and Diana Bermeo, '02. Kaitlin is the daughter of ICHS English teacher Cindy Thomas.

Erin DiGangi, '04 is an Athletic Trainer for the Women's Volleyball at Clarke College, where she is also in her final year of Physical Therapy School. She will be doing her final clinical internships in Chicago and Arizona next semester, and will graduate with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in May.
University of Illinois grad, Zach Paus, ’04 is teaching math at Ridgewood High School. He is also engaged to be married.
Teresamarie Cervone, '04 graduated magna cum laude from Dominican University on May 2, 2008 with a major in math and a minor in accounting. She is currently working as Staff Accountant for a production company in Rosemont.
Erin McKee, '04 graduated from Illinois State University in December of 2008 with a bachelor's degree in Special Education. She is currently teaching at Oak Forest High School in the Special Education department.
Joe Wangler, '04 is graduating from Northern Illinois University this May. He just completed his fourth year on the NIU lacrosse team. Competing against the likes of Northwestern, Wisconsin, and DePaul, their team captured the Conference Title this past season. For a picture of Joe in action, click here.
John Guy Cervone, '05 received an associate's degree from Triton College. He will be attending Dominican University in the fall. John Guy is currently the Retail Manager at Mario Tricoci in Oak Brook.
Chris Fisette, '05 recently completed a highly successful track season at St. Mary’s University of Minnesota. Just a sophomore, Fisette broke the school triple jump record this spring and was a member of the 4x200 relay team that shattered the school record at the Drake Relays in April. The marketing and mathematics double-major was also named to the Dean’s List for the spring semester.
Taylor Arman, '05 graduated from North Central College in June, 2009 with a BA in athletic training. She passed the Board of Certification exam and is now a certified athletic trainer. Taylor currently attends Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA and is pursing a Master's degree in athletic training education. As a graduate assistant through Old Dominion University, she is working as the head athletic trainer at Lake Taylor High School in Norfolk, VA.
At the University of Illinois commencement in May, Mallory Purdom, ’05 received University Honors as one of the top 3 percent of students in her college’s graduating class based on her outstanding academic performance over four years of study.
Currently studying at Milwaukee School of Engineering for an Architectural Engineering BS and an Environmental Engineering MS, Kelly Costello, ’06 spent this past summer interning for Boeing. Kelly is also a member of the MSOE women’s basketball team.
Brian Mulligan, ’06 and Brad Paus, ’06 are finishing up their final football campaigns at DePauw University. Mulligan, a three-time All-SCAC honoree is poised to break the school’s career receiving record.
Western Michigan University senior, Sam Remy, ’06 spent the summer taking classes and touring Europe as part of a WMU summer program.
PJ Conroy, ’06 will also be competing in his final football season at St. Ambrose University this fall. The senior will once again be starting at inside linebacker for the Fighting Bees.
Marquette University senior Finance & Real Estate major, Matt Kowieski, ’06, just completed his second year of interning with Robert W. Baird & Company in Milwaukee.
Dan Treccia, '06 is a first baseman and outfielder on North Park University's baseball team.
A group of graduates from the class of 2007 happen to all be studying abroad in Europe this semester. Maggie Burke, ’07 is studying at Idea Verona in Verona, Italy through the University of Illinois. Christine DiGangi, ’07 is doing an internship in Rome through the Media Fellows program at DePauw University. She is interning with the United Nations World Food Programme. Katie Perrone, ’07 is studying at Scuola Leonardo da Vinci in Rome through the University of Illinois. Molly Cronin, ’07 is studying at University College Dublin in Ireland through the University of Notre Dame. Nick Lucania, ’07 is doing an internship at the Rome Campus John Felice Center through Loyola University Chicago. Recently, Molly traveled to Rome and happened to bump into Nick and Christine on the street, while Maggie, Christine, and Katie all met up to celebrate Carnivale in Venice.
DJ Abuy, ’08 has just finished his sophomore year at Stanford University. He will again be doing research this summer with the Barron Group, focusing on finding an affordable way of treating the H1N1 flu and tuberculosis. DJ is excited to say he recently declared Chemical Engineering as his major
Carmengrace Puentes, ’08 is enjoying Elmhurst College. She has gotten involved with many organizations, including H.A.B.L.A.M.O.S., the Amnesty International Elmhurst College chapter, the Meditation Club, the Coalition for Multicultural Empowerment, and the Foreign Language Club.
In his rookie season at DePauw, Jon Ellis, ‘08 led the Tiger football team in rushing yards and earned All-SCAC honorable mention.
Michael Howlett, ’08 recently took part in the Big Man on Campus fundraiser at Purdue University. He performed a dance routine in the talent contest with other members of the Sigma Nu fraternity. Michael was a finalist for best performance, but more importantly, the event raised over $127,000 to support breast cancer research.
Kevin Koch, ’08 has been named the starting quarterback at Minnesota State University Moorhead in his first year with the program. Offensive coordinator Damian Droessler had this to say about Kevin, “With Kevin’s intelligence, arm strength and game management ability he separated himself from the rest of the quarterbacks and emerged as the leader of this offense.”
Meg Kowieski, ’08 has been appointed to the University of Notre Dame Student Union Board. An Art & Design major, Meg will work as assistant marketing manager, creating ads and other communications for campus events, such as concerts, guest speakers and festivals. Just prior to the start of the school year, Meg participated in the TeamND retreat attended by all student government leaders on campus.
Brendan Ryan, ’08 is pursuing a degree in Finance and Accounting in the College of Business at the University of Illinois. He is the Director of Risk Management for the Delta Tau Delta fraternity. Brendan is also a member of the Interfraternity Council Leadership Organization and part of the Orange Krush Philanthropic Foundation.
Charley Vail, '08 joined the Sigma Chi fraternity at Illinois State University, where his big brother is Frank Ratini, '07.
