Jean (Morrison) Murphy, '40 shares the news of having two great-granddaughters! Both are two and a half years old and they live in Portland, OR and Jupiter, FL. Jean was part of ICHS's first graduating class!
Elizabeth (Dunk) Dziak, ’43 and her husband Sylvester celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on June 1, 2010.
Carol (Raab) Markley, '45 is enjoying spending time with her family, including her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loves to travel and volunteer at a local hospital.
Hugh Donlan, '45 and his wife Seena celebrated their 56th Wedding Anniversary. They were also proud to see their daughter be elected Mayor of Leonia, NJ.
Carol (Schafer) Savegnago, ’47 and her husband Al are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary this year. They have been world travelers, and are now enjoying traveling the US.
Robert and Mary (Dunk) Guth, '48 celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on September 11, 2009.
Lois (AuBuchon) Sinner, '48 says she is glad to hear about all of the exciting things going on at ICHS. She is proud of the school and proud to call herself an alumna.
Mary (Weldon) Binder, '49 reports that she had a great time at the Class of 1949's 60th reunion.
Jean (Kelly) Gust, ’49 is the proud grandmother to 14 grandchildren and great-grandmother to 5 great-grandchildren.
Mary (Fellegi) Udelhofen, ’49 is living in a retirement community in Elmhurst. She has five married children and 10 grandchildren, all of whom she loves spending time with.

Fr. Warren J. Heidgen, OSB (Leon J. Heidgen, '52) celebrated his golden jubilee of priestly ordination on April 30, 2010. Fr. Warren is retired abbot of Holy Cross Abbey, Canon City, CO and currently a member of Assumption Abbey, Richardton, ND. He gathered with family and friends on August 24, 2010 for a Mass of Thanksgiving at St. Mary Cathedral, Cheyenne, WY. Parishioners from Sacred Heart of Jesus,Boulder, St. Rose of Lima, Buena Vista and St. Mary of the Rockies, Bailey attended. Classmates Tom Friedrich, ’52 and Paul ‘52 and Mary (Dahm) ’52 Kearney came from Scotland and California for this Jubilee Mass.
Thomas Adams, ’53 is happy to announce the birth of his 2nd great-grandchild. That brings his total number of grandchildren to 33!
Phyllis (Littlefield) Baber, ’53 is enjoying traveling around the world. She went to Egypt in 2009 and visited the Great Wall of China in 2010.
June (Moxon) Maze, '55 continues to enjoy her work as Vice-Principal at Holy Wisdom Academy in Milwaukee, WI. She is happy that the staff there is so diverse. There are four Religious orders represented, including the Sisters of St. Agnes.
John ’55 and Lois (Fuller) ’55 Vandermolen are the proud grandparents of 14 grandchildren and great-grandparents to 1 great-grandchild.
Thomas, ’56 and Harriet (Merschmann), ’56 Dwyer celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in January with their family. They received a surprise visit from Harriet’s sister Carla (Merschmann) Magiera, ’63 and their maid-of-honor Maureen (Upington) Kenealy, ’56.
Kurt Ulrich, 56 is happy to report there are 2 Lieutenant Colonels in the family. His son, Lt. Col. Andrew Ulrich is a US Army Battalion Commander, while Kurt is a retired Lt. Col. in the US Air Force. His daughter Carol is a US Attorney in Salt Lake City Federal Court. She is expecting her 2nd child in May of 2010.
Mary Jean (Lewey) Basta, '57 and her husband Joseph are enjoying their retirement in Prescott, Arizona and in Florida. They have 3 children and 8 grandchildren living in Illinois, Texas, and Colorado.
Barb (Wagner) Fosnot, ’57 and her husband Tom celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on May 14, 2010. Their maid-of-honor, Dorice (Schiller) McNeill, ’57 flew in from Jackson Hole, WY to attend the Mass and party.
William Friedrich, '57 has retired to the mountains of Western North Carolina.
John Hattenhauer, '57 and his wife Sally welcomed their 11th grandchild on Christmas Day of 2008.
Notes from the 1960s:
Bill Ryan, '60 retired from the Navy (Civilian EMP) and ASA CPA. His wife, Sue (Morris) Ryan, '60, is still working for St. Peter's Parish. The couple have been married for 44 years. They have three daughters and two grandsons.
Tom Simone, '60 and his wife Shirley have been married for 44 years. The couple have a wonderful family of 3 daughters and 4 grandchildren. Tom has been
most fortunate to have worked for and with some great business organizations. He
has been on the Board of United Natural Foods since 1996 and served for 6 years as Chair of the Board. Earlier this year, Tom was named Vice-Chair of the Board.
Lynne Collins, '60 says she is truly blessed to have attended such a wonderful school. Lynne feels that everything she learned at ICHS has carried her through a successful life, and she is thankful for everything ICHS gave her.
Terry Dalton, '62 has un-retired in Scottsdale, AZ, 13 years after leaving Polaroid Corporation as the Director of Legislative Affairs. He was recently appointed as the VFW's Senior Department Service Officer for the State of Arizona. In his new capacity, he will oversee a staff that ensures Arizona Veterans, widows, and dependents receive all lawful benefits they are entitled to from the Federal and State Government.

Annette (Majewski) Hunsaker, ’63 retired from Lincoln Library in Springfield, IL. She is loving retirement and enjoys spending time with her 5 grandsons and 1 granddaughter.
Terese (LeGare) Goodson, '66 retired from her position as an elementary school principal after serving 37 1/2 years in public education. She is now a full-time beef cattle rancher. Terese is maintaining a 137 acre farm, and she says there is never a dull moment around the farm.
Randy Johnson, ’67 recently retired from Motorola after working there for 39 years
Nancy Lottinville, '68 is proud of her children who are currently in graduate school. Ann is in her 3rd year of a Ph. D program in English at the University of Illinois, while Ted is a 2nd year law student at the University of Loyola, Chicago.
Bernadette (Centobene) Bass, ’69 is in her 12th year of teaching P.E. at St. Celestine School in Elmwood Park. Bernadette has 3 grandchildren who keep her busy. She reports that she had a GREAT time at her 40th reunion this past summer.
Mary (Hollenkamp) Ramey, '69 has been found as "Outstanding in the Field" of Clinical Psychology. She is currently the Health Coordinator for the Ohio Psychological Association. Mary has four children, two children-in-law, and two grandchildren.
Notes from the 1970s:
Barbara (Palaith) Newson, ’71 is excitedly awaiting the birth of her second grandchild to her daughter Brenda and Staff Sgt. Jason Strawn. Her other grandson, Christopher, is 6 years old. Barbara is a photographer in Hawaii, and she enjoys the 80 degree weather everyday. Click here to see one of her photos of Makai Pier, which has been published.
Joyce Hoffman, ’73 has a four-year-old granddaughter Alyssa, and her second grandchild is due in August.
Mary Anne (McGuire) Shimko, ’74 and her husband Joe recently celebrated 35 years of wedded bliss. They were married at IC on 10/11/1975. Mary Anne and Joe have 3 grown children, Michael (32), Matthew (30), and Marissa (28), and 2 precious grandchildren, Makenzie (7) and Adam (3). Mary Anne also shares that she is proud of her ICHS Family, especially the faculty and staff, for all they do. ICGS and ICHS provided 12 years of Catholic education and caring to Mary Anne and her 5 younger siblings, Genie, ’76, Marty, ‘77, Patrick, ’79, Dennis, ’81, and Eileen, ’88. Their parents, Anne & Mike, gave up many things to make a Catholic education paramount. Mary Anne is proud to say the values live on just as their parents had prayed for, and for this, they are grateful and forever indebted.
Mary Pat Quinn-Headley, ’76 and her husband Jim are both very involved with the high school. They have two boys attending ICHS, a sophomore and a senior. They are thrilled with the great education the boys are receiving.
Patty Martin, '77 is still enjoying her job as Program Director of 97.1 FM, the Drive. She says they play all the music that everyone listened to when she attended IC.
Joanne Marcotte, '78 opened Bow Wow Playground Doggie Daycare and Boarding in Villa Park. She thanks all the IC alumni that have visited and hopes that many more will stop by.
Notes from the 1980s:
Ray Wisbrock, '80 and his wife Jeanne have been married for 23 years and have lived in Palatine their entire married life. They have three children, Stefanie, 19, Adam, 17 and Kyle, 13. Ray has worked for various companies in corporate communications and now runs his own communications consultation company.
John Nicholas, '81 is now the Director of Public Markets for Vulcan Inc. in Seattle, Washington.
Mark Falimirski, 82 became Medical Director of Critical Care at Indiana University Hospital. He and his wife are expecting their 4th child.
Lisa (Bourke) Guaghan, '83 and her husband, Patrick, just welcomed the birth of their fourth boy, Evan Timothy. He joins brothers Liam, Quinn, and Aidan.
Pete Alfini, ’84 is a proud graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He wants all Illinois high school students to know there are scholarships available to UW-Madison through the UW Chicago Alumni Association. For more information, visit www.uwalumni.com/chicago.
Margaret (O'Brien) Schy, '84 and her husband David have two daughters, Meghan and Kelly. Margaret has earned her Master's degree in Business and has earned two real estate licenses in Illinois.
Jill (Butler) Whitney, '84 earned a Master's Degree in Nutrition from Loyola University Chicago and is currently working as the Chief Clinical Dietition at MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn, IL.
Michelle Martin, ’86 is the assistant editor of the Catholic New World, the newspaper for the Archdiocese of Chicago.
Notes from the 1990s:
Kevin James, '90 is a Msgt in the Illinois Air National Guard. He recently returned from a tour of duty in Afghanistan where he worked with Predator Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. Kevin and his wife Kerry reside in Elmhurst with their 4 children.
Joe Bigane, '91 and his wife Bridget have 5 children and reside in Elmhurst. He is the Owner and Managing Director of a company in Chicago.
Andrew Pinter, '91 recently moved to Raleigh, North Carolina to become Area Scouting Supervisor for the Chicago White Sox. His focus will be covering the area for the annual Amateur Draft, as well as doing some minor league scouting.
Thomas Gibbons, Jr. (Tucker), ’92 and Marya (Caso) Gibbons, ’93 have been married for 13 years. They have 6 children ranging in age from 12 to newborn. Three of their children currently attend ICGS full time. Tucker and Marya run Gibbons Funeral Home in Elmhurst.
Matt Flesch, ’93 and his wife Stacy are pleased to announce the birth of their first child, Maggie Jane Flesch, on June 29, 2010.
Timothy Gilles, '93 has joined the Burns & McDonnell Consulting Firm as a Senior Environmental Scientist in the Environmental & Remediation Services Department. He will be part of the Chicago Office.
Pat and Mary Beth (Bauernfeind) Lucas, ’93 are pleased to announce the birth of their daughter Megan Elaine Lucas. She was born on January 27, 2010.
Dave Zanghi, '93 and his wife reside in Naperville with their 2 daughters, ages 4 and 1. Dave is the manager of Cardiodiagnostics and outreach services for Edward Hospital. He is also an adjunct faculty member in the graduate Clinical Exercise Physiology Program at Benedictine University.
Kerry (Howlett) Neville, ’94 was married to Bill Neville in April 2010.
Michael Evans, ’94 lives in Chicago with his wife Jaime and their two boys, Connor and Sean. Michael and Jaime are both prosecutors with the Cook County State's Attorney's Office. Michael is also a Captain in the Army Reserve. He is currently serving in Afghanistan as the Regional Command South Rule of Law Advisor for Joint Task Force 435, where he is working with Coalition forces and the Government of Afghanistan to build Afghanistan's capacity to capture, investigate, prosecute, and detain insurgents.
Maura (Brueggen) Goll, ’94 and her husband Ron welcomed their first child, Roger Ellis Goll, on May 22, 2010.
Michael Muisenga, ’94 and his wife Shelly are the proud parents of a baby boy. Matthew Michael Muisenga was born on January 6, 2010. He weighed 7 lbs 11 oz and measured 19 inches long.
Sarah (Butler) Ford, ’95 and her husband Brian are pleased to announce the birth of their daughter, Catherine Jane, on September 12, 2010.
Joe Samme, ’95 was married to Holly Gentile on June 5, 2010 at St. Mary’s Church in Huntley. The couple resides in Hampshire, IL.
Robert Hadac, ’96 has been working in the printing business for 10 years. He recently purchased his first home in Willowbrook, IL.
Michelle (Muisenga) Carlson, ’96 was married to Billy Carlson. The newlyweds reside in Elmhurst.
Randy Mihelich, ’96 and his wife Katie live in Lombard with their two girls, Ava Kate and Molly Anne. Randy is an electrical engineer for Underwriters Lab in the biomedical field.
Mike Hauert, ’98 and Lauren (Green) Hauert, ’98 were married June 25, 2010 at IC. Tim Hauert, ’01 and Dan Hauert, ’04 were the best men. Bridesmaids included Katie (Hauert) Doyle, ’92 Carrie (Hauert) Pikulik, ’93, and Maggie (Hauert) Bieterman, ’96. Alec DeRosa, ’12 was an usher for the wedding. Mike and Lauren are currently residing in Elmhurst.
Kate (Konrath) Marsico, '98 is living in Elmhurst with her husband, Carl, and their three children, Maria, 5, C.J., 3, and Thomas, 1. She continues to work from home as a children's author and magazine writer.
Claire Dunne, ’99 received her Masters of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College. She works as the Director of Intergovernmental Affairs at the National Nuclear Security Administration.
Christi (Thompson) Landauer, ’99 and her husband Paul welcomed their daughter on August 11, 2010. Siena Marie joins big brother Jacob, 18 months. The Landauer’s currently reside in Arlington, Va.
Margaret (Kinsella) Napleton, ’99 is the new 2nd grade teacher at Visitation Grade School in Elmhurst. She joins a host of other ICHS alumnae on the staff. Jackie (Vetter) Osterhout, ’80 teaches 8th grade, Katie (Hoffman) Vaughan, ’95 teaches 4th grade, Amy Consolazio, ’04 teaches 5th grade, and Jessica Clifford, ’04 teaches 6th grade.
Notes from the 2000s:
Karen (Falduto) Kopf, ’00 recently transitioned from working at a law firm to working at a non-profit organization. She spent a lot of time volunteering in the recent past, and this is what influenced her career change. Karen is currently working for DuPage PADS, Inc. as the Development Associate for Special Events. In her spare time, she enjoys running marathons and half-marathons with her husband Seth, raising money for various charities along the way.
Tony Medina, ’00 was married to Lisa Pellegrinetti on March 26, 2010.
Adam Ragauskis, ’00 is pursuing his MBA at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN.
Joe Callaghan, '01 is currently attending the University of Notre Dame Law School.
Carrie, '01 and Julie, '04 Campbell are living together in an apartment in Chicago.
Michael Mulligan, ’01 is engaged to Sheila Keane. The couple is planning their wedding for August 2011.
Ryan Sullivan, ’01 is starting his 3rd year of medical school at Loyola University. Patrick Sullivan, ’04 graduated from Valparaiso University in May, 2008. He recently started working at Patten Industries as their Latin American Representative. Annie Sullivan, ’06 is a student at College of DuPage. She recently went to visit Amanda O’Brien, ’06 in London, where she is studying fashion design.
Tom Hagerty, ’02 is a Patrol Deputy in Yorkville. He is in training to be a certified gang officer, and he is currently living in Yorkville.
Kurt James, ’02 was featured in a front page article in the Elmhurst Press in May. The article talks about his many roles as a member of the National Guard, a player on the Chicago Cardinals arena football team, a member of the Chicago Mustangs football team, and a personal trainer at XSport Fitness. Kurt is slated to be deployed overseas this September.
Jackie Koch, '02 graduated with a 4.0/4.0 from the Jane Adams School of Social Work at the University of Illinois, earning a Masters in Social Work in May, 2009. She is a social worker at a K-12 alternative school for children with behavioral disorders in Western DuPage County. Jackie's sister Jen, '05 graduated with honors from Eastern Illinois University with a K-12 Special Education certificate, also in May, 2009. She landed a job as a 2nd and 3rd grade special-ed teacher in Melrose Park.
Brittany Lee, '02 is a Title 1 teacher at 2 Catholic grade schools in Chicago.
Marty Meenaghan, ’02 is a Regional Client Support Associate who supports the New York Metro and mid-Atlantic territories for Calamos. He passed the series 7 exam in February. Marty currently lives in Chicago with Shane Stanfa, ‘01.
Doug Schmidt, '02 and his wife Megan are pleased to announce the birth of their daughter Madison. The couple's son, Colton, is thrilled to have a baby sister.
Emily (Stanko) Tomaselli, ’02 has been working as a nurse at Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago since 2006. She and her husband Frankie are living in Elmhurst.
AJ Aiardo, ’03 and Christina (Beneos) Aiardo, ’04 are pleased to announce the birth of their son Augustino J. Aiardo, the couple's first child.
Pat Gibbons, '03 is the proud owner of Gibbons Elliston Funeral Home in Hinsdale, IL. He has been the owner and operator since 2007.
Colleen Hagerty, ’03 is a hairdresser at Hair to Stay Salon and Spa in Villa Park.
Marco Recio, ’03 recently began working for the Tribune Company on their Corporate Strategy team in Chicago. He moves into this position after 3 years of work in Finance and Auditing for GE and NBC Universal, where he worked and lived in several locations including NYC, LA, Washington DC, Germany, and Belgium. Marco reports he is happy to be back in Chicago.

Bijoy Abraham, ’04 is in Podiatry school at Rosalind Franklin School of Medicine and Science.
Seamus Costello, ’04 is working for Berg Engineering in Schaumburg, an engineering consulting firm that specializes in hospitals and schools, for 2 years. He currently resides in Schaumburg.
Erin DiGangi, ’04 graduated from Clarke College with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in May. She is currently working as a Physical Therapist and Athletic Trainer for AthletiCo in LaGrange Park.
Kelly Haggerty, ’04 is teaching 3rd grade at Our Lady of Peace in Darien.
Matt Jazwiec, ’04 was recently engaged to Tara Verdak.
Gabe Murphy, ‘04 is starting his second year in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Washington University in St. Louis.
Zach Paus, ’04 was married to Allie Wyler on August 7, 2010.
Paula Ragauskis, ‘04 is in grad school at Butler University, studying to become a Physician’s Assistant.
Stephanie Remy, ’04 and Rosario Spaccaferro, ’04 were married on June 5, 2010 at IC. Alumni in the wedding party were Nicole Remy, ‘02, Sam Remy ‘06, and Danielle Remy, ’09. Current IC student Kellyanne Remy, ’12 was also in the wedding party.
Stephanie (Falash) Kleven, ’05 was married to Phil Kleven on June 19, 2010 at St. Philip the Apostle in Addison. Cathleen Chandler, ’05 was the maid-of-honor. Other alumni in attendance included Stephanie’s mom, Donna (Mallek) Falash, ’74, uncle, Geary Mallek, ’70, and aunt, Diane (Mallek) Thompson, ’75. Stephanie is currently working as a musician in West Hartford, CT.
Kelly Costello, ’06 graduated from Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) with highest honors and a degree in Architectural Engineering with a specialty in Environmental Engineering. She was named the senior scholar athlete, served as president of the Wisconsin chapter of Tau Beta Phi, the national engineering honor society, was a founding member of a sorority on campus, was named to Who's Who in America's College & University Students, and was captain of the MSOE women’s basketball team for two years. Kelly also played volleyball for one year and ran track for one year. She has passed her FE exam and received her LEED associate. Kelly currently works for ESD (Environmental Systems Design), a international engineering consulting firm.
Bryan Mulligan, ’06 was featured in a recent article in the Elmhurst Doings. The article talks about his record-breaking career on the DePauw University football team. Bryan is the school’s all-time leader in career receptions with 217, shattering the old mark of 195. He also broke the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference career reception record. Mulligan helped lead DePauw to the conference title last year, and DePauw’s first ever Division III playoff appearance. His teammates at DePauw included classmate Brad Paus, ’06 and current junior Jon Ellis, ’08, who already has over 1,000 career rushing yards and 14 career touchdowns.
Christine DiGangi, ’07 spent the summer in Greensboro, NC as a reporting intern at the Greensboro News and Record. She is now the Editor in Chief of The DePauw newspaper at DePauw University.
DJ Abuy, ’08 has just finished his sophomore year at Stanford University. He will again be doing research this summer with the Barron Group, focusing on finding an affordable way of treating the H1N1 flu and tuberculosis. DJ is excited to say he recently declared Chemical Engineering as his major
Airman 1st Class Pat Howard, ’08 graduated with honors and was 11th in his flight of 508 trainees at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. He now begins tech school as he moves toward his Special Ops training program.
Meg Kowieski, ’08 has been appointed to the University of Notre Dame Student Union Board. An Art & Design major, Meg will work as assistant marketing manager, creating ads and other communications for campus events, such as concerts, guest speakers and festivals. Just prior to the start of the school year, Meg participated in the TeamND retreat attended by all student government leaders on campus.
Carmengrace Puentes, ’08 is starting her junior year at Elmhurst College. Last year, she was the President of HABLAMOS, attended Holy Week Missions 2010, and attended Elmhurst College’s LeaderSHAPE Institute.
Brendan Ryan, ’08 is pursuing a degree in Finance and Accounting in the College of Business at the University of Illinois. He is the Director of Risk Management for the Delta Tau Delta fraternity. Brendan is also a member of the Interfraternity Council Leadership Organization and part of the Orange Krush Philanthropic Foundation.
