Here are websites about education and were created to assist teachers with their lesson plans.  They have been collected from book review journals, print resources, librarian/teacher recommendations, and other resources.

  • All Kinds of Minds   This non-for-profit organization has articles about learning disabilities.
  • Classroom Connect   This site provides teachers with ideas on how to integrate technology into the classroom.
  • Edhelper.com  Here you can find graphic organizers, lesson plans and more for grades K-12.
  • Education Oasis   Created in 2003 by teacher K. J. Wagner, this site contains graphic organizers, tips, articles, lesson plans, printables, web resources, and more.
  • Education Resource Organizations Directory   This database for the U. S. Department of Education provides contact information for thousands of organizations "that provide information and assistance on a broad range of education-related topics."
  • Education Week   The online edition of a weekly magazine, here you can get the latest education news, studies, and more.
  • Education World  Teachers can find a lot of valuable information including an educational website search engine, lesson plan ideas, site reviews, articles, and more.
  • Educator's Reference Desk   Teachers will find this site useful because it provides over 2000 lesson plan ideas and over 3000 resources on educational topics, theories, and issues.
  • Exploring Data  Provides curriculum support for studies in statistics.
  • Flinn Scientific   Contains ideas for activities and resources for Chemistry, Physical Science, Earth Science, Safety, and more.
  • Gateway to 21st Century Skills  Provides resources and ideas for lesson planning that can be found on federal, state, univeristy, non-profit, and commerical websites.
  • Kathy Schrock's Guide for Educators   Kathy Schrock created this site to provide teachers with resources and tools to help them enhance learning in the classroom and provide professional development.  It is sponsored by Discovery School.
  • LD Online   This site contains a wealth of information about learning disabilities.
  • Online Learning Tips & Tools   From Guide to Online Schools, this site has tips and resources for teachers on time management, plagiarism, study guides, lesson planning, writing and more.
  • Pics 4 Learning  A collection of images that students and teachers may use without copyright issues.
  • Plagiarism  An extensive and annotated guide to plagiarism.
  • Plagiarism Stoppers: A Teacher's Guide   Created by Jane Sharka from Naperville Central High School, this guide provides links and information about plagiarism.  This site is no longer being updated as of June, 2007.
  • Power Basketball  An excellent resource for basketball coaches with fundamentals and coaching tips.
  • RubiStar   This site will help you create rubrics.
  • Smithsonian Education   The Smithsonian provides this site of educational resources including exhibits, lesson plans, publications, and more.
  • Teachers First   "A rich collection of lessons, units, and web resources designed to save teachers time by delivering just what they need in a practicaql, user-friendly, and ad-free format." --from the Main Page of site.
  • Teachers TV This British website is full of educational videos that you can download.  You have to register first, but it is for free.  Please note that some programs cannot be downloaded outside the United Kingdom.
  • Teacher Tube  Here you can download short educational videos to show to your students in class.
  • Teachers Network  A useful resource for teachers with lesson plans, professional development ideas, online courses, and more.
  • Teachers@Random   Random House has developed this site for educators that includes teacher guides to novels, author biographies, book lists, and more.
  • Works 4 Me   The National Education Association provides tips from teachers on a variety of topics including classroom management, technology, and more.
