Greetings Art Students!

Grading in the Art Department can be subjective.  So how does someone grade artwork?
Well, I use the following criteria:

1.  Effort  (How much time are you putting into your project?)
2.  Craftsmanship  (How clean and presentable is your project?)
3.  Level of difficulty  (Did you go beyond what I asked for?)
4.  Creativity  (How creative/original is your project?)
5.  Use of class time  (How much time in class did you spend on your project?)

Rules of the Art Department:

1.  Respect the room, supplies, projects, and eachother.
2.  Don't throw anything!
3.  Use class time effectively (you can work and talk at the same time.)
4.  Don't touch anything unless you have that person's permission.
5.  No eating or drinking in the art room.

There are a ton of other rules that art students must abide by when in the classroom.  These rules are discussed and talked about in length at the beginning of each semester.

You don't have to be a great artist to take any of our art classes.  The only thing you need is a willingness to try and to experiment!  You will be taught everything you will need to know during your time in the Art room!  So don't worry.  Just sit back, put on your "creative cap" and get ready to make some great stuff!
