Choosing the right school is one of the most important
decisions in the life of a young person. We take a personal interest in getting to know each prospective student and their family. Our objective is to help
you by providing as much information as possible and by offering you a variety of ways to become familiar with IC. We strongly recommend that parents and
prospective students visit our campus, observe classes and talk with faculty, students and parents.
WHY CHOOSE IC?
The primary reason for choosing Immaculate Conception can be summarized by the term “Opportunity to Achieve”. Students
who choose to attend IC find that the opportunity for ACHIEVEMENT, LEADERSHIP and SERVICE is very real. They also value the fact
that IC fosters an atmosphere that:
- Provides individual attention for each student and treats each student as a person and not a number
- Creates a close-knit family of faculty and students across all classes
- Encourages and provides each student ample opportunity to become involved
- Allows each student to create his or her own path
As a result, IC students demonstrate achievement by:
- Performing well academically in Honors and AP courses, as well as attending college-level
classes at Elmhurst College
- Holding positions of leadership in student council, as editors of student publications and
leaders of organizations, such as National Honor Society (80% of our students participate in two or more extracurricular activities)
- Building confidence and self-esteem by participating on athletic teams and serving as captains
(over 75% of our juniors and seniors play at least one varsity sport)
- Getting involved as Christian Service Leaders, Eucharistic ministers and volunteers in their
communities
- Gaining acceptance to some of the best colleges and universities in the country, including:
- University of Chicago
- DePaul University
- DePauw University
- University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
- Indiana University
- Loyola University
- University of Iowa
- University of Michigan
- Marquette University
- University of Notre Dame
- Northwestern University
- Purdue University
- Stanford University
- Washington University
