TUITION & FEES

Registration Fee 2010-2011 School Year
The non-refundable registration fee of $275 per student is paid during the previous school year, to secure placement for the upcoming school year. Of the total $275 charged, $150 is used to defray the expenses of the registration process and the $125 balance is credited to the annual tuition fee. The registration fee is payable to Immaculate Conception High School.

Tuition

Immaculate Conception High School strives to provide the finest Catholic College Preparatory education for each and every student, and we understand the sacrifices our families make in order to provide their son(s)/daughter(s) with a Catholic education. 


2010-2011 Tuition Costs: $8,300.00 1st child
                                   $6,640.00 Each additional (reflects a 20% discount)

ICHS contracts with Smart Tuition to manage our tuition collection. The ten-month payment plan begins in August and ends in May.

Orientation Fee

Fees are due on scheduled orientation dates in August.

Freshman:  $220

Sophomore:  $220

Junior:  $405 (includes junior retreat fee)

Senior:  $330 (includes graduation fee), additional $155 for optional senior retreat

Fundraising Fee

Each family is required to participate in the fundraiser held each year; the Knights Blue & White Cash Raffle with ticket sales of $400 per student or $500 per family.

Books

Required textbooks cost an average of $300-$600 depending on course schedule and can be purchased from the online bookstore.  In addition, the ICHS Parents' Club holds a Used Book Sale in June of each year.

TUITION ASSISTANCE & SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES FOR INCOMING FRESHMEN

Immaculate Conception High School is committed to providing all qualified students with the opportunity to achieve and will never deny a qualified student an ICHS education due to financial circumstances.  Financial aid is funded through the generous donations of alumni, parents, friends and other ICHS benefactors, as well as, the Diocese of Joliet.

ICHS has created a financial aid policy for the distribution of need based tuition assistance and scholarships to aid student’s families.  Financial aid will be offered based on available funds.  Families must reapply each year for financial assistance.  In order to qualify for tuition assistance, each family must complete and submit a Financial Assistance Form (along with 2008 tax returns and 2009 W-2 forms) by February 10, 2010.  In addition, you must complete and submit a FACTS Management Grant and Aid Assessment form by March 1. 2010.

 

Scholarship and Grants

Catholic High School Tuition Assistance (Diocese of Joliet Grants)

Diocesan grants are available to students who attend a Catholic Diocese of Joliet parish and can demonstrated financial need.  These grants are in the amount of $1,000 per student.  Payment is made directly to the high school.  Families must apply by completing the FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment Application (see general information).  Students may reapply each year by completing a new application form.

High School Placement Test Scholarships

Merit scholarships for the top ten scorers on the placement test at ICHS.  Award amount will be applied to freshman year tuition after student is accepted and registered.

Math Contest Awards

Math Contest Awards are given to the top ten eighth grade scorers at the ICHS Math Contest and will be applied to freshman year tuition after the student is accepted and registered.

Sibling Discount

A Sibling Discount is available  to families when siblings are enrolled at ICHS during the same academic year.  The first student pays full tuition and each additional student sibling receives at 20% discount.

Catholic School Teacher Grant

The Catholic School Teacher Grant is available to any student whose parent or guardian is an administrator or teacher at a Catholic school (K-12) in the Diocese of Joliet or the Archdiocese of Chicago.  The parent or guardian must be a full-time employee of the school.  Please contact the Main Office for an application form.

Immaculate Conception High School Parishioner Scholarship

The Immaculate Conception High School Parishioner Scholarship is a four year renewable $1,000 scholarship, available to incoming freshmen of ICHS who are parishioners of Immaculate Conception Parish.  To qualify, families must meet the following criteria:

  • You must be a registered parishioner as of January 1st of the current enrollment year.
  • Your student must be accepted and registered for ICHS for the upcoming school year.
  • To renew this annual scholarship, your student must maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA and must remain in "good standing" with the high school and adhere to all policies.

ICHS Alumni Association Scholarships

ICHS Alumni Association offers a limited number of need based scholarships.  Every registered student (including registered incoming freshmen) may apply and must meet the eligibility requirements:  Student's family must complete the FACTS application for financial assistance and the student must have a 2.5 GPA or higher.  Availability of applications will be announced.

Kazma Family Foundation Scholarship

The Kazma Family Foundation Scholarship is a four-year renewable scholarship for students entering a Catholic high school in the Diocese of Joliet.  Thirty-five freshmen students will be selected based on financial need.  The FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment form and the Kazma Scholarship application must be completed.  Both are available through the ICHS Main Office.  More information on the scholarship can be found at http://www.dioceseofjoliet.org/edfoundation/tuitionassistance.asp.

Bishop Blanchette Scholarship

The Bishop Blanchette Scholarship is sponsored by the CCW in the Diocese of Joliet.  Each parish CCW provides its members with application forms.  All applications from each parish are reviewed by the parish CCW and one application per parish is chosen to submit to the Diocese for consideration. (Grades 9-11)

Link Unlimited Scholarship Program

Link Unlimited Scholarship Program for African American students.  Visit their website at http://www.linkunlimited.org for eligibility requirements and application instructions.  Students should apply during their eighth grade year.  Application process ends in late December.

K-12 Family Education Loans

K-12 Family Education Loans through SLM Financial Corporation, a Sallie Mae Company, are available.  For the most current information on the K-12 Family Education Loan, please refer to the Quick Reference Guide, by visiting SallieMae.com/K12_QRG.  The school code for ICHS is 605844.

Additional Sources for Scholarships

Some students receive scholarships or grants from their parish/grade school parents club, CCW, Knights of Columbus and other fraternal organizations.  Be sure to check with your grade school and parish for scholarship opportunities.

Tuition Reduction Programs

The Manna Program is offered to help reduce the cost of tuition for families at ICHS.  A registration form must be completed each school year before placing your first order for certificated from participating stores.  The rebate dollars earned by your family will be credited to your tuition account in August, November, February, and May.
