Knights Football Drops Opener

The IC Knights varsity football team lost the season opener to Aurora Christian 22-12 at East Aurora HS on Friday night. The sophomore team won their game 27-8 .  The Knights will play the home opener on Saturday, Sept. 6th at 10:45 and 1 pm at Lewis Stadium.

Golf Drops SCC Opener to Marian

The Knights lost to Marian Central on Wednesday 151-174 to drop to 2-2 and 0-1 on the young season.  The JV team also lost 173-227 to drop to 1-1 and 0-1. The team is back in action on Sept 9th vs. St. Edward at 4:30 pm at our home course at Maple Meadows.          

Lady Knights Volleyball Loses to Marian

The Lady Knights volleyball team opened the season with a loss to Marian 27-25, 13-25, 23-25 in Woodstock on Tuesday. The sophomore team lost 20-25, 14-25 and the freshmen won 25-22, 17-25, 16-14.  The Varsity returns to action on Friday and Saturday at the Timothy Christian Tournament and the sophomores will be at the ACC Tournament on the same days. 

Cross Country Runs Well

The Knights cross country team opened the season at Elmwood Park HS on Wednesday. Natalie D'Agostino and Sean Doherty both finished 5th.  Dan Headley, Gabbey Montiel, Megan Barnish, and Loren Butler also ran good races. This Saturday the 6th, we will host our own Knight Invite at our home course at Eldridge Park which is located at the corner of Spring and Butterfield Roads in Elmhurst at 9:30 am.

Dance & Cheer

The Knights Dance and Cheer teams are preparing for the upcoming sports seasons as well as their own competitions.  Coach Ford and the Dance team along with Coach DeVivo and the Cheer team will perform at both football and basketball games as well as compete in state competitions as the year moves on. The girls practice each week and their practice schedule can be found at the digital sports link just to the left of this article.

Summer Youth Sports Camp Information

The ICHS Athletic Department hosts a variety of sports camps every summer for grade school athletes. The camps for 2008 are now complete. To see anticipated 2009 offerings, please download the 2008 camps brochure.  Dates should be about the same for 2009 although they are subject to change. Any questions, write via e-mail to dhoward@ichsknights.org.  The 2009 brochure will be available in March of 2009 on this page.
